The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation in counties Dublin, Meath, Louth and Cork today, Tuesday 31st January 2023.
The search was conducted by Bureau Officers, supported by the ERU, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, DMR Regional resources and the Customs Dog Unit and involved in excess of 100 Bureau and Garda personnel at 15 different locations throughout the country.
This morning’s operation resulted in the seizure of the following :
- Documents, records and files
- Devices including mobile phones, laptops and hard drive
- Cash

- High Value Watches
- Two Cartier watches
- Three Rolex watchesOne Hublot watch
- High Value Designer Goods
- Four Chanel Handbags
- One Gucci Handbag
- One Prada Handbag
- One Louis Vuitton Handbag
Today’s CAB operation was conducted as part of an on-going Bureau investigation in to Organised Crime Groups laundering the proceeds of crime through property investments.
High value property assets linked to a number of distinct Organised Crime Groups operating nationally and internationally were searched.
A man who was arrested for an offence of money laundering and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Dublin Garda Station has now been released.
The proceeds of crime investigation remains on-going.
