The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation in Co. Longford this morning, Thursday 29 July 2021. The search operation was conducted by Criminal Assets Bureau Officers, supported by the Emergency Response Unit, Regional Armed Support Unit, Longford Gardaí, the Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit and the Customs Dog Unit.
Twelve locations consisting of 7 residential premises, 2 industrial premises and 3 professional offices were searched during the course of this morning’s operation involving one hundred Bureau Officers, Gardaí and Customs Officers. The following items of note were seized:
1. €10,000 cash.
2. Over €78,000 restrained in bank accounts.
3. 212 Ford Focus (€26,400).
4. 172 Nissan Navara (€27,000).
5. 3 Rolex watches.
6. Cherry picker.
7. Financial documents and electronic devices.
This morning’s operation was conducted as part of an on-going Criminal Assets Bureau investigation in to assets, including properties linked to a significant midlands based OCG believed to be involved in the sale and supply of drugs and vehicle crime.
